Prof. Dr. Nasser Barghi

Dr. Nasser Barghi is Professor and Head of the Division of Esthetic Dentistry in the Department f Restorative Dentistry at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Dental School at San Antonio, Texas. He has presented more than 700 didactic and hands-on clinic courses in over 30 countries. Dr. Barghi has authored and co-authored over 250 articles and abstracts and has completed a great amount of research on bonding new aesthetic materials and etched porcelain bonded restorations.

Prof. Barghi is member of the American Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry, the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics and the International Association for Dental Research. He is former president of the American Equilibration Society. Dr. Barghi is one of the most popular speakers concerning esthetic dentistry worldwide

Zirconia in 2023: Enhancing durability minimizing undesirable outcome.

Synopsis:

Innovation in digital technology and development in pre-shaded multilayer zirconia blocks allow clinicians to provide patients with life like esthetically pleasing monolithic restorations. These developments have shown the importance of pre-sintering final touch and customization. 
Durability of anterior/posterior zirconia restorations is further enhanced by introduction of primers and new luting technology.

This presentation is designed to provide participants with importance of pre-sintering shading and customization to achieve desirable esthetics outcomes. Steps involved in bonding and cementation will further be outlined.
