BASAL IMPLANTS BETWEEN MYTH AND REALITY
Dental implants nowadays are considered as a gold standard in replacing missing teeth. It can restore the esthetics and the function.
Placing dental implants should respect some rules and conditions to achieve successful outcome. It needs to be placed in sufficient amount of stable bone and it needs to achieve a primary stability.
The implant can be immediately or delayed loaded function to certain conditions.
The basal implants are implants that are having a lot of myth around, and it is having a growing demand.
The situation needs to be clarified concerning this kind of implants, to establish the scientific point of view and the condition of use of this kind of implants.
This lecture will not promote any kind of implant or any brand. The aim of this lecture is to establish the reality of this kind of treatment, that allows the surgeon to give to his patient the best treatment based on scientific evidence.
