Red, White, & Blue Lesions
Dear Scientific Committee,
Red, white, and blue lesions of the oral cavity are commonly encountered in the dental setting. This presentation will illustrate clinical photographic examples of the most common conditions related to Oral Medicine and Pathology with emphasis on their aetiology, pathogenesis, and approach to management. The purposeful approach is to distinguish between common poathological conditions by their colour and more importantly, differentiate between benign and premalignant lesions of the oral cavity.
Learning Objectives
- To promote the highest standard of care in the diagnosis and management of oral mucosal disease.
- To distinguish between common pathological conditions by their colour on initial presentation in the dental practice.
- To differentiate between benign and premalignant lesions in the oral cavity.
- To formulate differential diagnoses and follow a customised referral algorithm for general dental practitioners and dental specialists.
